Valentines Monster Energy Bites
I’ve been getting so many messages about our energy bites, so I thought I’d share our Valentine’s Day treats with you all! One of my favorite memories from my childhood is when my mom would make treats based on the holiday. With that being said I wanted to make a healthier option, so Cody and I could enjoy them as well. Because we are currently sticking to a strict clean eating diet, and splurging on occasion. So I thought why not make something cute that Em likes to eat, and have it fit into our nutritional plan.
I searched Pinterest for awhile, and found inspiration for the Valentines monsters. The post came with a recipe, but it had lots of ingredients that neither cody or Em would eat. So I tweaked it to our recipe.
Ingredients: 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips (optional) 1 cup old fashioned oats 1/2 cup ground flax seeds 2 tbsp honey 1 tsp vanilla extract Valentine's M&Ms eye candy
1. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, and mix well.
2. Cover and set in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
3. Take out of fridge and scoop out balls.
4. Place 3 Valentine M&Ms one on top and 2 on the sides, followed by an eye candy in the middle.
Now you have cute little monster treats!!
